How Medigene Works
The patient and their doctor create verified accounts in Medigene. The patient then sends a DNA sample to a partner company to be sequenced. The information is sent to Medigene where we put that into our efficient AI system. Our AI system processes the genetic data and picks out specific issues in the genome that correspond to genetic diseases. The information is then available to the doctor on the Physician Dashboard where they can then send it to the patient after the patient is diagnosed. The goal is for the doctor to use the information to quickly diagnose the problem and then treat the disease more efficiently and effectively.
Implementing AI
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an integral part of what makes Medigene most effective. By using AI, genetic data is available almost twice as faster and cuts the cost down. Our AI system uses 90% less manpower than typical gene sequencing takes and can have results within 20 hours compared to the average 48 hours. Medigene is able to take the genetic sequence (ATCG) and turn them into pictures where the AI can use Convolusional Neural Networks. The AI almost completely eliminates human error within diagnoses and provides the patient with a greater opportunity for a more personalized treatment.
Connecting
Doctors & Patients
Medigene is able to connect patients and their doctors through the dashboards. The genetic data is sent to the doctors on their dashboard. Then, the doctors will go over the diagnosis with their patient face-to-face and then unlock the patient dashboard so they can learn more about their diagnosis and share it with family members.
